April 21 @ 8:00 pm - 11:59 pm
CHANGES Record Release Party
The heartfelt message of this record triumphs a huge thumbs up! This is a personal reflection of the journey of personal growth and healing through the sudden tragic death of her husband, followed by her mother soon after. This album has every genre of music combined into one solid epic record. From the acoustic rock feel of the opener Alone But Not Lonely , the percussive Americana sound of the title track Changes, the rock fueled Greg’s Song, to the scorching gospel blues duet, It’s A Blessing, done with the legendary Carol Fran. Susie Aycock has given her signature gutsy voice a showcase as never heard before, showing the audience she is far more than just a great songwriter, but a singer who can sing it all. Her rendition of the Beatles cover tune Help is off the charts as a searing beautiful ballad that will bring you to your knees. World renowned slide guitarist Sonny Landreth blasts his signature harmonics on top of Susie’s tender vocals on the John Hiatt tune Have A Little Faith In Me.. More originals like Cold Day In Hell, Bittersweet, and Reverend Ann give Emmy Lou Harris and Lucinda Williams fans a treat as she show cases her country roots side. Produced and recorded by multi-Grammy winner Tony Daigle, each song is slammed by the magic of the ” best of the best” of South Louisiana’s finest musicians including Grammy Award winner Jon Cleary, Roddie Romero, Michael Juan Nunez, Aden Paul and many more. Songs vary from acoustic rock, country, blues, Americana, and bluegrass. Something for everyone who enjoys powerful top notch vocals, and the finest of musicianship, with a strong lyrical validation honoring her quest for Spiritual validation in times of extreme hardship.
THE BLUE MARYS
The Blue Marys, a popular rhythm and blues band from the early 90’s, reunite after 20 years

front the band along with Jerry LeJeune on drums, Carl Landry on saxophone, Michael Juan Nunez on guitar, Ronnie Vice bass, and Sam Whitmire on keys. The Blue Marys released and recorded their Rumble & Shake cd at Dockside Studio. Susie’s song “Patiently” was selected as one of the songs featured on The Musical Spices of Louisiana compilation disk of LA to promote to the film industry for movie soundtracks.
